Episode 1

Han Ji-eun is a young and pretty novelist. She lives alone in a big house which was left to her by her late father. Hee-jin and Dong-wook, a couple very much in love, are her closest buddies.

Hee-jin is pregnant and Dong-wook doesn’t have enough money to raise his child. In his desperation, he lies to Ji-eun that she has won a big prize in a lucky draw, which is a free trip to China. Ji-eun happily goes on a vacation and while she is away, Hee-jin and Dong-wook immediately sells her house.

Lee Young-jae, a big Asian star, is on his way to China and sits beside Ji-eun in the aeroplane. An excited Ji-eun tries to chat with Young-jae, but is ignored by him. Nearing China, Ji-eun throws up on Young-jae, making Young-jae feel very disgusted with her.

Arriving at the airport, Ji-eun realises that no one is there to pick her up, but she still manages to get to the hotel after some difficulty. However, no one has reserved a room for her. Faced with a language barrier, Ji-eun feels helpless. Luckily, Yoo Min-hyuk, a Korean, is there to rescue her from her plight. She thanks Min-hyuk for his help and learns that he is here to visit his friend, Lee Young-jae, who is staying in the same hotel.

Ji-eun tries to call Hee-jin and Dong-wook without any success. She starts to think that there is something fishy about this whole trip. Her money is also running out.

A penniless Ji-eun turns to Young-jae for help, hoping he could lend her money to return to Korea, but Young-jae rejects her plea and slams the door in her face. Undeterred, she asks Young-jae how she can contact Min-hyuk. Sensing Young-jae’s curiosity, Ji-eun lies that she is Min-hyuk’s ex-girlfriend and gets to borrow money from Young-jae as a result.

When Ji-eun arrives back home, she is very shocked to see that her house has been stripped of all furniture. She goes to Dong-wook’s company to look for him, only to find out that he has quit his job a month ago. To her horror, her savings has also been taken away.

After filming a movie in China, Young-jae also returns to Korea. He goes to look for Kang Hye-won, a girlfriend whom he secretly admires. Upon hearing that Min-hyuk is also returning to Korea and asking her out for dinner, Young-jae becomes very jealous. Hye-won tells Young-jae to join them for dinner, and he agrees reluctantly.

Young-jae goes to look for Hye-won again, only to see her hugging Min-hyuk this time. In his disappointment he leaves, but this also gives him an idea.

Young-jae asks Ji-eun out for dinner, saying that he wants to patch the relationship between Min-hyuk and her. Seeing Min-hyuk and Hye-won arriving at the restaurant, a surprised Ji-eun is so embarrassed that she tries to hide her face. Young-jae tries to get Ji-eun to confess the relationship at the dinner table, but Ji-eun refused to. Young-jae then realises that he has been lied to.

After Min-hyuk and Hye-won left, an angry Young-jae accuses Ji-eun of being a liar and a thief, only to be injured on his eye by the feisty Ji-eun.

Someone turns up at Ji-eun’s house to collect the house, a desperate Ji-eun turns to the police for help, but after thinking about Hee-jin’s pregnant child, she softens and decides not to press charges.

The owner of the big house has changed hands. Ji-eun sits in the door porch with her luggage and ponders over her fate. At this moment, a person enters through the main gate and she is surprised to see that it is Lee Young-jae…
